Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I don't know about you but I'm pooped! Not used to cooking that much for that many people -- but everything turned out well and a good time was had by all.

Mark gave me a Kindle -- I knew I'd get one eventually but, right now, I'm still more interested in having actual books in my hands -- but it would be good for traveling -- and you can also download newspapers and magazines. I'm sure I'll use it but probably not for...

Raining all day here -- and 37 degrees at the moment -- supposed to go up to 53 tomorrow -- but it would be okay with me if it stayed cold. It may get a little colder during the night but not down to freezing I don't think.

Well i hate new year...I never used to...i suppose when i was younger it was all planned out for me. We went to my grandparents (my dads parents) and the whole family would go....so there would be about 40 of us in one room (lots of kids)...lots of eating and drinking. There would be some obligatory board game at some point, once some of them had...

So i bought a few tops online back in august and i completely forgot to return them (they looked awful on, they had no shape and they were massive, the smaller size was even huge), and i kinda figured well that was that, i wouldnt be able to do it now. However, i was talking to a friend a few days ago and she was saying that she took something back to a shop just the other day that she had for about 2 months, like me she had forgotten, but it had all the tags on and the shop refunded it in...

just for a laugh!!

We actually went to Wal-mart yesterday -- can you believe that? I was surprised -- it was busy but not to the point of "I'm going to scream". We, fortunately, had less than 20 items when all was said and done so we checked out at the empty express lines -- but even the other lines were not bad -- they had a lot of registers open so that made a huge difference. weatherwise, anyway.

It's still getting into the 70s here -- and, me being so hot-natured, I can't wear "winter" clothing right now or else I just melt. So, every day is a struggle to find something which isn't too "summerish" but which won't make me sweat buckets. The same thing happens in the spring -- only in reverse.

I just want it to get cold!!

Hope everyone has a fun-filled, spooky and safe night!

Halloween for us is pretty much just another day, at this point. I've decorated a little -- but heavy decorations (for me, personally) are just not my thing -- though I like to look at other people's hard work!! We live on a cul-de-sac and there are a few kids but, last year, even they didn't come by!! So, I have a small bag of candy, just in case.

I guess I have to just laugh about stuff like this but, honestly. I have two of Mark's shirts washing right now -- a nice Polo-type shirt and a white buttoned-up one. On one he spilled chocolate -- which may come out -- it was sprayed with Shout (or whatever it is I have) but, when I was putting it in the washing machine, I noticed some other stain which appears to be set in -- so this shirt will probably be tossed. The white shirt has ink in the pocket -- I doubt if that's coming...

Yesterday, I had my gyno annual as well as a physical. Not so fun but I figured since both offices are in the same building, it'd be easiest and best to get both out of the way all at once. The gyn appointment was first and of course the first thing they did was put me on a scale. I wasn't thrilled with the number but it's better than it used to be so whatever. Less than an hour later, I'm on my way downstairs to the physical. Once there, they naturally weighed me yet...

I recently realized that I have almost a month's worth of vacation and comp-time to use before year-end and it's almost October!!! So, I'll be gone this week and a few days into the following week. Nothing terribly exotic planned; a few day trips if the weather cooperates, a day at the spa, some shopping (Xmas is right around the corner!) and a physical (bleh). I may get in here, I may not, it just depends.
