Growing up, there was this scary old house we had to pass going to school. It was set back from the street and had huge old oak and pine trees between it and the road. Basically think horror movie. Plus the owner was this nutty old woman that used to roam around town wearing all black and she would screech at anyone who tried to talk to her. Everyone knew crazy old Mrs. King. Anyway, when I was in college, she passed away and since she had no family, the town put the house up for sale. Now this is the funny part. The house was bought by a funeral director and turned into a funeral parlor. Yup, all the years of daring each other to sneak into the old King house and now people are literally dieing to get in it. But the new owners did restore the house beautifully. They cut down most of the trees and painted the house blue and white. Really pretty. It looks more like a B&B when you pass it, until you read the sign. Oh, and Mrs King was keeping secrets. When they were restoring the house, they had to dig up an old oil tank in the back yard. They discovered 3 bodies that were buried sometime in the 30's. No one knows who they were or why they were buried in the back of the house.
