I think learning is much easier today -- if you take advantage of the "world is your oyster" that the internet offers. Yes, you have to get through a lot of crap and you have to be careful (especially kids) but the ease of it is great because no trudging to the library and back (don't get me wrong -- love libraries -- but haven't been to one in a long time) and, now, you can accomplish in a few minutes what it might have taken days to do back then. For me, that means more time for learning something else so it's all good, as far as I'm concerned. So, yes, that would have made a huge difference in education.
