I've been out there, Ruth, but it's been a long time -- my brother and his wife usually visit us here (because of my mother being here, as well) and we just haven't really made an effort to go out there. I'd like to go back.

I know Phoenix can be hot as living hell -- and, I think, there's actually quite a bit of pollution there, even though people used to flock there for the "air" (which is probably why there's so much pollution now!). It's a huge city, from what I remember, and has grown a lot I'm sure.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the area -- as far as neighborhoods and such. I think a real estate agent is the way to go. And, without children, you won't have to worry about school zones or anything, which means you will have a greater choice of where you want to be. Are you more interested in a condo or a house?

Last year, when I thought we might have to move, I was nearly crazy just thinking about it...I'm glad this is an adventure for you -- wish I was more like that!!
