Mark is going to do an epidural steroid treatment on my mother this afternoon -- this really helped her before so, hopefully, it will again (patients can get
several months of pain relief -- sometimes more). Anyway, she won't have to be put to sleep but, as with all procedures -- no matter how minor or how major
-- there is always some risk -- so keep her in your prayers that all will go just fine (it should). I take her about 1:30 today, then, once they take her back
or I have to pick up Carrie -- whichever comes first -- I'll leave her in Mark's hands, then he'll bring her back to our house, where she'll
spend the afternoon and have dinner. She should be able to go back to her own house tonight unless she has residual numbness, which can happen but it usually
goes away after a few hours.
