Hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day (in the US) and is remembering why we celebrate it in the first place.
We've never done much on Memorial Day -- no family get-togethers or anything -- don't know why -- I guess we save that for July 4th when we usually have a big family thing at the lake.
Anyway, Mark is home -- he says he's going to work on cleaning out the garage but he did that for about ten minutes and now he is in bed with Star Wars on -- so that's probably done for the day. I know he works hard during the week and he needs time to relax but he sure did work hard down at the farm on Saturday -- don't see that around here, that's for sure!
Anyway, before he took to the bed, he started complaining about all the cardboard boxes in our bedroom. I just looked at him like, "WTF"?!" Those boxes have been there forever -- he's never said one word -- and, if I say anything about junk and clutter, he rolls his eyes at me -- and, yet, all of sudden, today, he decides there's too many boxes?! LOL! Anyway, y'all know I couldn't let that go by -- I asked him could I have that in writing since I'd been asking for help cleaning up and he never seemed to care one way or the other.
By the way -- on Saturday, I said something to him about not working today -- he said he would be working -- that it would be a regular day at the office seeing patients and doing procedures. I told him I didn't think the office would be open as they are good about shutting the whole place down for the employees on national holidays. He kept insisting it was a regular day. I told him he'd better text somebody and find out -- he did and, of course, the office is closed. I almost wished I hadn't said anything and he'd gone up there and nobody was there -- I'm so mean...
Men!
